El Tequilismo
El Tequilismo is the Tequila community of Pueblo Chico Cantina. It is made up of ardent Tequila connoisseurs known as Tequilistas. Tequilistas are agents of the Tequila community who have heeded the Call to Conquer. Each Tequilista enjoys his or her Tequila in a respectable fashion befitting his or her palate. Tequilistas always drink in moderation, and always in good company. They respect the history of Tequila and honorably recognize it as the national drink of México. Their reverent practices define the standards of El Tequilismo.
The Call to Conquer
The Call to Conquer exists to fight common misconceptions about Tequila. Gone are the expectations of Tequila as a rotgut catalyst for excessive buffoonery and licentiousness. There are no worms in Tequila bottles. The spirit does not come from a cactus. Drinking Tequila produces no psychotropic effects, and the entire Tequila industry cannot be blamed for bad experiences with Tequila which, not always but usually, involve bad Tequila or poor judgment, or both. Those yesterdays of shoots and slams, and juvenile nostalgia shall be heretofore known as the dark ages of one’s Tequila experience.
Answer the Call
As a member of El Tequilismo you will do battle with the dark age-expectations of yore by divining the wisdom of the blue agave one Tequila at a time. Your Call to Conquer will be realized in 5 decisive battles known as Las Cinco Batallas. Each Batalla spans 20 Tequilas of your choosing, from which you shall drink and be enlightened. Your Call to Conquer is satisfied after you have gleaned the wisdom of 100 different Tequilas.
